TRI STATE 150th

Tri-State Civil War 150th Commemoration Association is a 501(c)(3) organization formed for the purpose to develop concepts,resources, and programs to promote heritage tourism & education, in the public & private sector,for commemorating the Civil War Sesquicentennial.  Our regional geographic area of promotion involves a marketing footprint across three state lines and is focused on Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

GEORGIA DIVISION SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS
 The Sons of Confederate Veterans is the direct heir of the United Confederate Veterans and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers.  Organized in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to ensuring that a true history of the 1861-1865 period is preserved. 
 
SONS OF UNION VETERANS
In 1881 the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization comprised of Union veterans of the Civil War, formed the Sons of Union Veterans to carry on the GAR’s traditions and memory.  Membership is open to any male who can prove ancestry to a member of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Revenue Cutter Service during the period from 1861 to 1865..
